FAQS
HOW LONG WILL MY INSTRUMENT TAKE TO REPAIR?
Repair time can vary depending on the severity of the work required but our average is up to a week from us receiving your instrument. If we have a full diary then we will always book you in for a time that we can give your instrument our full attention to minimise the time you are without it.
WOULD IT BE A PROBLEM IF I HAVE A SHORT TIME FRAME FOR THE WORK TO BE DONE?
We understand from our own experience that an issue can arise last minute with an instrument when we only have a few days before a performance or lesson so a last minute booking can be arranged to cater to your needs provided we aren't already booked to full capacity. We always keep our diary busy but with the potential to squeeze emergency repairs in if required and remember, there's two of us!
ARE YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
Yes we are, we have a Facebook and Instragram page for you to look through where we publish any updates, offers and absolutely love showcasing our recent repairs! Please just notify us if you would not like your instrument shared on our pages (we would never share any of your personal details, just some action shots of your beautiful instruments before/after work is completed!)
CAN YOU RECOMMEND PLACES TO SEE AND EAT IN CANTERBURY WHILE I WAIT FOR MY INSTRUMENT TO BE FIXED WITH YOU?
Absolutely! Canterbury is a lovely historic city with lots to do and see! we can point in the direction of famous sights and there are countless places to eat and shop within a 10 minute walk. There's even a cafe right opposite our workshop!
I AM NOT SURE IF I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY INSTRUMENT OR WHAT MAINTAINCE IT NEEDS IN GENERAL, CAN I GET A FREE QUOTE AND ADVICE?
Of course! We do an inspection and quote free of charge in 10 to 20 mins when you bring your instrument to us- We would even be happy popping our leak light down it to check seating and regulation, just simply to put your mind at rest or confirm that a service may be due.
CAN I PAY BY CARD WHEN I PICK UP MY INSTRUMENT?
Yes, you can pay by card because we have a secure card reader for payments using the iZettle system and you will be given a receipt via e-mail showing the work completed, cost, VAT and all our details for your reference. We also take cash payments if that method would suit you more and only ask that all payments are made before or during return of your instrument.
